Meet the Pastor

South Morang Baptist Church was Pastor Wes Nelson’s home church; he accepted Christ as his saviour at this church at 14 and much of the grounding for his subsequent church ministries originated at South Morang. Over the years, Pastor Wes has served the Lord as a Sunday School teacher and Youth Leader at several churches and served for some years as a Deacon at Meadow View Baptist Church. He has worked in several Christian camps and, along with his now wife, Andria, would visit older person’s homes to sing and fellowship with the residents. Pastor Wes received formal training at Victoria Baptist Bible College.

Raised in East Keilor, Pastor Wes is a strong family man; values passed to him from his parents, particularly his father. Christ Jesus is pre-eminent in Pastor Wes’s life followed by his total devotion to his wife, Andria, and their six children.

Pastor Wes is a working pastor – he is a full-time electrician and a full time pastor, dedicated to serving the Lord at Meadow View Baptist Church.
